Catholic media professionals are participating in the Catholic Media Conference in the United States, reflecting on the challenges and opportunities of evangelization in today9;s media landscape.

Journalists, editors, publishers, and communications professionals from across the United States are gathering in Atlantic City, New Jersey, from 16 to 19 June for the annual Catholic Media Conference, organized by the Catholic Media Association.

Held at Harrah9;s Resort under the theme 'Innovation Anchored in Mission,' the conference brings together Catholic communicators to reflect on the challenges and opportunities facing journalism, evangelization, and digital communications in an increasingly complex media environment.

The programme opened with Mass at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church and a gathering on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Throughout the week, participants are taking part in workshops, roundtable discussions, and keynote presentations focused on the future of Catholic communications.

Among the highlights are a keynote address on artificial intelligence and Catholic communication delivered by Taylor Black of Microsoft and The Catholic University of America, and a panel discussion examining Pope Leo XIV9;s vision for communication in an age of misinformation and emerging technologies.

The conference also includes screenings of documentary films, including Debating Statues & Saints, which explores polarization and reconciliation in contemporary society, and American Martyr: The Stanley Rother Story, recounting the life and witness of the first US-born priest and martyr.

Among those participating in the conference are Dr. Paolo Ruffini, Prefect of the Holy See9;s Dicastery for Communication (our parent organization).

Also present is Maria Montserrat Alvarado, who is set to become Prefect of the Dicastery for Communication on November 1.
